Community Alliance for Global Justice (CAGJ) works to transform the food system through movement building and shifting mainstream narratives.
Are you passionate about food sovereignty and local economic justice? Want to build your outreach, organizational, communications, networking, and nonprofit management skills, or your catering resumé? CAGJ is seeking strong communicators to join our team!
All positions are open to students seeking internships, as well as CAGJ members and supporters just wanting to get more involved!

Positions
Communications & Social Media Support
Primary responsibilities include content creation and campaign amplification. This role will work to strengthen CAGJ’s narrative shift work in close collaboration with CAGJ staff, volunteers, and other interns, using CAGJ’s style and identity guides.
SLEE Event Organizers
We want you to help organize our 17th annual SLEE Gala taking place on October 14th! The Strengthening Local Economies Everywhere (SLEE) Gala is CAGJ’s signature annual event, and we are back in person at the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church for Happy Hour and dinner with 300 guests, made by CAGJ chefs from locally sourced and Fair Trade foods. It’s a blast, builds community and raises critical funds!
Volunteer and Intern Roles
Outreach: Via email, phone and socials to CAGJ’s Community Partners, help procure Silent & Dessert Auction Donors, and recruit our local progressive community to help amplify SLEE.
Silent Auction Coordinator
Help track donations and coordinate outreach, conducting follow-up and communicating with donors as needed, and creating packages of items received. Highlight items and create social media posts about the auction to encourage participation.
Volunteer Coordinator
Recruit, track, communicate with, and coordinate 70+ volunteers in the weeks leading up to SLEE, in addition to day-of. Great experience for future organizing and non-profit work!
