Undergraduate students with an interest in international relations and foreign service work should apply for a virtual internship opportunity with the U.S. Consulate General Vancouver!
Over the next academic year (September 15, 2023-May 31, 2024), students can earn academic credit and direct work experience on a current project at the Consulate: "Pacific Northwest Cross-Border Economic, Energy, Infrastructure and Trade Developments." This internship will involve research and analysis on U.S.-Canada cross-border economic, energy, infrastructure and trade issues in the Pacific Northwest and expanding USG outreach with the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) foundation.
Students must be full-time UW students with U.S. citizenship to be considered eligible. Students who wish to earn International Studies credits may enroll in JSIS 497: Internship (C/NC) for up to 5 credits. These internships are unpaid, but scholarships may be available through the Jackson School Office of Career and Professional Development.
Applications are open NOW and close on Monday, July 31.
