About the Tech Policy Lab

The Tech Policy Lab is a unique, interdisciplinary collaboration at the University of Washington that aims to enhance technology policy through research, education, and thought leadership. Founded in 2013 by faculty from the University’s Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, Information School, and School of Law, the Lab aims to bridge the gap between technologists and policymakers to help generate wiser, more inclusive tech policy.

The Lab also hosts events such as Tech Policy Discussions that provide a weekly opportunity for students, faculty, and community members across the University to come together to discuss current events in technology policy with Lab experts. Tech Policy Discussions are held every Thursday at 12:30 pm in the law school. If you are interested in participating in the discussions, you can sign up on our listserv here. For more details about the Lab in general, please view the flier below. To learn more about the Tech Policy Lab, you can also email the Lab’s program manager Alex Bolton at bolt@uw.edu
