UW’s 50th Anniversary of Section 504: Learn, Celebrate, & Innovate
The civil rights legislation that established protection from discrimination for individuals with disabilities in the US turns 50 this year! In partnership with the Office of the ADA Coordinator, UW partners have put together a yearlong series of events and engagements to learning disability history, celebrate disability culture and pride, and promote accessibility innovation and advocacy. Activities will range from speakers in the UW Public Lecture series, a disability history exhibit, accessibility challenges, arts and performances focused on disabled artists, and much more. Learn more about the 50th Anniversary and ways to engage on the UW 504at50 website.
