School of Marine and Environmental Affairs – Now accepting applications!

The School of Marine & Environmental Affairs (SMEA) is a two-year, in-residence graduate program that leads to the Master of Marine Affairs degree from the University of Washington. The field is a multi-disciplinary field with strong traditions in both practice and scholarship, with SMEA graduates being uniquely qualified for various marine and environmental affairs related positions upon graduation. Our alumni go on to become policy makers, analysts, administrators, consultants, nonprofit managers, activists, and researchers.

Being an interdisciplinary program by nature, we value students from diverse educational backgrounds and majors, and thus encourage students from all disciplines to apply! No specific prerequisites are required. We invite you to attend one of our upcoming info sessions to learn more. For more details and info on how to register click here.

Please note that applications for the School of Marine & Environmental Affairs graduate program are considered only once each year and the application deadline is December 15th. The application process is entirely online and you will find all of the steps required to apply listed here as well as additional information regarding our Master' program on our web page: https://smea.uw.edu

Please do not hesitate to contact me at tlcdion@uw.edu if you have any questions. We hope you consider applying!
