INVITATION: US Mission to the United Nations University Outreach Sessions

Submitted by Andy Yun on

Good afternoon,

The United States Mission to the United Nations, a division of the US Department of State, is conducting outreach calls to university students interested in careers in diplomacy and public service. These calls will help students to better understand the application process for USUN and State Department internships, internships with the United Nations, and fellowships available to assist in funding UN internships. We will also hear from career Foreign and Civil Service officers at the US Mission as they discuss their diplomatic careers and the importance of working with the United Nations.

We have received notice from our USUN colleagues that your school may have interested faculty and students. This call will be the first in a series of outreach to a diverse range of schools, and we would welcome the participation of your program. The first call will take place on November 16th at 4:00 PM EST. Attached to this email is a concept note explaining the agenda and format of the call, we would appreciate it if you could circulate this to your interested student population. The Microsoft Teams Webinar link to call into the meeting will be attached to this email, as well as on the concept note.

Please contact Elizabeth Koyn (KoynEM@state.gov) and Bergen Bodensteiner (BodensteinerBT@state.gov) if you are interested in having students attend this meeting. Feel free to contact the Mission with any additional questions or concerns.

Respectfully,

Elizabeth Koyn
