Welcome to May! Enclosed are a few scholarships, opportunities and upcoming events.

 

**Zahn Scholarship: due May 31, 2024

The Fred G. Zahn Scholarship was established to provide scholarships to students in the state of Washington who are graduated high school and are continuing their education by attending a college, university, or post-graduate institute. The application is attached to this email.

 

**The Washington Research Foundation Fellowship and Levinson Emerging Scholars Award support undergraduates who want to pursue creative and advanced bioscience and related research under the guidance of UW faculty. Apply to both programs through a single application! Awarded students will receive up to $8,000 across three quarters and travel support to present at a professional conference. Join the Office of Undergraduate Research team for a virtual information session to learn more about application components, applicant resources, and program details. RSVP for an info session here.

**Fashion Scholarship Fund Case Study: Scholarship awards are $7,500. Students interested in any aspect of the fashion and merchandising industry are encouraged to apply. Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors apply as individuals.

This year’s case questions focus on digital strategy, brand awareness, and product development aligning with a brand. Attached to this email is a flyer with QR codes to the case studies. The case studies have key content highlighted and example projects embedded. The online case studies are password protected but may be accessed with the passcode: FSFmemberschool2024.

**The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans - $90,000 fellowship for immigrants and children of immigrants going to graduate school in the United States. If you are an immigrant or child of immigrants who will be a college senior this fall, a college graduate who is applying to graduate school this fall, or someone in the first or second year of a graduate program you’ll be in during the 2024-2025 academic year, consider applying. They are look for students who are hard-working, creative, willing to ask big questions, and looking to make a significant contribution to American society or their academic field.

**Study and Research Opportunities in Germany: DAAD Programs Info Session 

The DAAD scholarships provide opportunities to gain international academic, internship and research experiences in Germany. Students and graduates of American universities, with all citizenships, are eligible for these programs!
