Narcare

Narcare is a student organization that is dedicated to community empowerment to address the opioid crisis. Our efforts are guided by the fact that substance abuse deaths are preventable. Our goal is to provide everyone with everything they need to prevent an overdose death. This includes unrestricted access to naloxone — a drug that can reverse an overdose —  and knowledge pertaining to harm-reduction strategies.

To achieve our goals, we use a community-centric approach and provide individuals and organizations with the resources they need to protect themselves and others from this epidemic. We hope to counter the despair, stigma, and apathy associated with this public health crisis by creating spaces that support accurate information, kindness, and healing.

As members of Narcare, you can make a real impact on efforts to address the opioid epidemic as a volunteer. You will learn from activists, policymakers, researchers, and local organizations who approach this crisis from diverse perspectives. Using this experience and knowledge, you will advocate for policy changes that can end this needless loss of lives.
