Winter internship in the district office of Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal in Seattle

In the District office, internships run throughout the fall, spring, or summer semesters for college students. Work hours generally run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. During the academic years, hours can be modified to accommodate students’ course schedules. The District Interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters, and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent casework or work on District-based projects of importance.

Applicants must be undergraduate students who have completed at least one-quarter of college. Thanks to recent legislation, our interns are paid $15 an hour.

The application period for the Winter 2024 internship is now open and will close on December 2nd, 2024, at 5pm.

Interested applicants should e-mail a resume, cover letter, short writing sample, three references, and availability to seattle.internship@mail.house.gov with the subject “First Name.Last Name Internship Application.”
