Join the South Asia Center and the Jackson School of International Studies for an engaging panel discussion on international career pathways. Hear from graduates of the JSIS MA Program in International Studies (South Asia) as they share their journeys and insights into building impactful careers in diplomacy, NGOs, and international affairs.

About the panelists:
Quinn A. Clark is a Program Director in the Office of International Science and Engineering at the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF is a U.S. government agency that supports fundamental scientific research. In its international office, Quinn manages the NSF’s India and Singapore portfolios. Before joining the NSF, he was the Director of Columbia University’s South Asian Studies MA program. He obtained his PhD from Columbia’s Religion Department where he conducted Fulbright-funded ethnographic research on Sufism, politics, and money among Muslim communities in north India. Before enrolling in the Jackson School’s South Asian Studies MA program, he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali.
Thilini Kahandawaarachchi is a Political Officer at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. She previously served as a Senior Political Adviser at the Norwegian Embassy in Colombo. Prior to that, she worked at the Embassy of Turkiye, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Sri Lanka. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in law and social sciences from the National Law School of India University in Bangalore and a master’s degree in international studies focusing on South Asia from the University of Washington. She is also an attorney-at-law in Sri Lanka.
