Fall opportunities for student innovators & leaders - Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (WE Lead)

WE Lead is a co-curricular program hosting events across campus throughout the year, with opportunities for students to get more involved as desired. We are hosting some upcoming events and info sessions, including our first mentoring event of the year. See below for details, and please share with any potentially interested students! Below are some of our upcoming events.

  • 9/23: Dawg Daze Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Info Session for Undergraduate + Graduate Students 10-11:30am (HUB 145)

  • 10/1: WE Lead Cohort Application Opens!
    The WE Lead Cohort is for entrepreneurial student leaders from any major who want to invest more deeply in their growth, leadership, connections, and innovation journey this year. Cohort members are at various stages, from the entre-curious to founders working on homework by day and their company by night and are welcome at any stage of their journey! Students can read more about the Cohort on WE Lead’s website.

  • 10/9: Women Leading in Male-Dominated Industries: A Fireside Chat with Carol Lavin Bernick 10:30am-12pm (HUB 250)
    Carol Lavin Bernick is the CEO of Polished Nickel Capital Management, which manages diversified investments and owns staked in companies ranging from retail to professional sports. Carol spent 37 years of her career leading cultural change and growth at Alberto Culver Company, a global manufacturer of beauty and personal care products. She initiated and oversaw the company’s 2011 sale to Unilever.

    Carol will share career insights, leadership advice, and stories from her personal journey from joining , then leading her family business, to the present day.
  • 10/17: Thrive Together: WE Lead Mentoring Circle 2-4pm (HUB 332)
    Whether you’ve had multiple mentoring relationships in the past or are new to mentorship, WE Lead’s quarterly mentoring circles are a great way to make new connections and learn from peers and experienced professionals. Mentors are entrepreneurial women leaders with cross-sector experience – registered students can anticipate connecting with 4 professional mentors in casual conversation circles that include students from across campus. Space is limited (registration strongly recommended), and students must attend the event in full to register.
