Explore Finland and learn how European policy makers address threats to security and identity
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Europe has faced challenges to its sovereignty and way of life. This program will introduce students to issues in European security, politics, and identity through an exploration of Finland and Estonia, countries with extensive borders with Russia. Students will engage with experts and policy makers and explore historic sites in Helsinki, Tallinn, and Turku.

Visit Finland's capital (Helsinki) and oldest city (Turku) and travel by ferry to Tallinn, Estonia
Participate in the annual European Forum security conference and meet with leading thinkers from the EU
Learn through collaborative projects, ethnographic research, and policy commentary
Site excursions, ground transportation, and some group dinners and lunches are included in program cost
