From the WECARE  (Women Empowerment through Collaborations, Awareness & Resources for Education) RSO:

Hello Huskies,

What if your time at UW could directly expand access to women’s health resources, influence policy conversations, and build programs that students truly need?

At WECARE (Women Empowerment through Collaborations, Awareness & Resources for Education), that’s exactly what we’re doing. Our latest initiatives have already helped fund HPV vaccines for girls in India and brought free pregnancy tests to UW students – and this year, we’re ready to grow even bigger.

We’re looking for thoughtful, motivated students to join our board and help lead that expansion. If you want hands-on experience turning ideas into real impact, we would love to work with you.

Open positions include:

  • Outreach & Community Relations Chair – expand WECARE’s presence, build partnerships, and connect with students and organizations across campus.

  • Policy & Advocacy Chair – track legislation, research issues affecting women and reproductive health, and help mobilize our community.

  • Treasurer / Fundraising Chair – manage finances, support grants, and lead creative fundraising that powers our initiatives.

Serving on the board means collaborating closely with a passionate team, leading meaningful programs, and helping turn ideas into action that supports women at UW and beyond.

Not ready for a board role? You can still be deeply involved. We also offer committee opportunities in outreach, advocacy, fundraising, marketing, and events. WECARE is for anyone who has interest in women’s health, education, and advocacy and wants to make a real difference – no prior experience required.

If you want to be part of a group of students committed to tangible impact and long-term change, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to contact us through instagram @wecareuw with any questions.

Click Here to Apply  Due March 1st at 11:59PM.

Sincerely,

Lila Stephens

President, WECARE
