From SARVA:
SARVA is an ASUW branch that hosts events to advocate for victims of sexual assault and relationship violence. This week, we are hosting an open mic called "Black Out the Night," to give black students the space to share their experiences of culture, identity, and bodily autonomy.
ASUW SARVA, the Black Student Commission, and Poetry Club presents Black Out the Night: an open mic this Thursday, 2/19, 7-8 PM at the Samuel Kelly EEC!
This event aims to provide black students a space to share their experiences with culture, identity, and healing. The evening will also include speaker Dr. Anu Taranath of the African American Studies department and discussion around building community through a cultural lens.
