We still have open seats in our Spring 2026 hybrid offering of ENVIR 100, an entry-level course exploring contemporary environmental issues from local to global. It satisfies both DIV and NSc or SSc and will be taught with lectures asynchronous online and then weekly in-person quiz sections!
ENVIR 100: Introduction to Environmental Studies, SLN 14142
Course description: This class examines the ethical, political, social, and scientific dimensions of environmental issues. Students will integrate knowledge from different disciplines while evaluating environmental problems at various scales, and use an environmental justice lens to examine the ways problems are concentrated in some communities. Opportunities to practice environmental communication and collaboration across disciplines.
