This course will examine the rapidly evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and the field of psychology, exploring how AI systems relate to concepts such as intelligence, consciousness, and human connection. Students will engage with the scientific literature to investigate topics ranging from mental health chatbots and AI companionship to algorithmic bias, persuasion, and the psychological implications of living in an increasingly AI-driven world.
