From CHID for Heritage Language Speakers:

Are you learning or do you speak a heritage language? Have you ever wanted to learn your family's mother tongue? If so, consider taking CHID 496 A, "Mother Tongues and The Affective Economies of Language," a 2-credit focus group facilitated by a student in the Comparative History of Ideas (CHID) department! This low-stakes, discussion-based class will focus on students' experiences with heritage languages, which connect us to our cultural roots, and build a small community of language learners. Students will explore their relationship to language and think about important frameworks within language learning. Students with any language learning experience (even none!) are welcome!

Find more details about CHID 496 A in the flyer below (also attached) and on MyPlan! And feel free to reach out to anikadm@uw.edu for more details or with any questions!
