Social Media Manager - INTERNSHIP

 

July 2026 - December 2026

 

The Alternative Mobile Services Association (AMSA) is seeking a self-starter with proven communication skills to coordinate and expand social media footprint for the Alternative Mobile Services Association. The remote position is for 16 hours per week on a flexible schedule. 

 

The Social Media Manager develops and coordinates social media accounts and content for AMSA with mobile crisis teams, and stakeholder organizations in select states. Current account includes Linked In but will be expanded to include Instagram during 2026

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create Linked In posts four days a week using designated materials

  • Increase Linked In followers by working with AMSA board members & senior volunteers

  • Launch AMSA Instagram account - create work plan and tone

  • Re-edit and post video interviews to increase engagement

  • Like & re-post select posts from colleagues / allies

  • Create the AMSA social media strategic plan

 

Qualifications

  • Five years of relevant online experience

  • Excellent writing and speaking skills with attention to detail

  • Experience using Google Suite, Wordpress or similar, and online databases

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Commitment to the AMSA mission and diversity, equity, and inclusion values

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong opinions based on evidence
