From the U.S Department of the Treasury:

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of International Affairs is now accepting applicants for its 2027-2029 cohort of Junior Fellows through October 31, 2026. The Junior Fellowship is a full-time, two-year opportunity for individuals entering the workforce to engage in U.S. foreign policymaking and diplomacy.

Fellows are hired into one of the regional or functional offices within International Affairs and work alongside International Economists. Regional offices oversee Treasury’s engagement with counterpart finance ministries and treasuries across the world. Functional offices oversee Treasury’s engagement with international financial institutions and structure broader Treasury policy on issues ranging from international trade to export credits, to foreign exchange.

Attached are a job flyer, recruiting packet, and FAQs. Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The Junior Fellow recruiting committee, which is comprised of current junior fellows, will be holding three public info sessions to discuss the role. All Information Sessions will run from 7:00pm to 8:00pm Eastern. Click on a link to register for an information session:
