FACULTY AND GRADUATE STUDENTS PAPERS, PUBLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES:

Tony Gill participated in a debate on Universal Basic Income (UBI) with Gregory Robson (anti) and Michael Munger (pro), taking a position that threaded that needle, at the 2022 conference of the Association for Private Enterprise Education in Las Vegas. Gill's presentation was presented in comic book/pop art form and he delivered an argument that Munger had not heard before and thought was interesting (but ultimately wrong... or so said he). Nonetheless, Munger later informed Gill that all the feedback he got about that panel was on how good the professor from the UW was.

Tony Gill also presented his co-authored work on the dynamic efficiency of gifting at APEE 2022 in Vegas. Despite being in a room that was off on the periphery, it drew the attention of luminaries such as Randy Holcombe and Dwight Lee. The presentation was delivered entirely in poetic verse, which delighted Dwight to no end. You may request PPT slides of this poem by contacting Tony directly. Also, while in Vegas, Tony broke even on gambling since he didn't gamble, but he found the food to be inordinately pricey.
