FACULTY AND GRADUATE STUDENTS PAPERS, PUBLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES:

On December 7, Lance Bennett received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bern, Switzerland. His work was featured as part of a daylong seminar with colleagues at the university. The themes include disinformation and democracy, and the communication processes that organize and mobilize movement-based parties on the radical right in Europe.

Susan Whiting was at UC San Diego on Friday, November 22, to give a talk entitled, "Illiberal Law and Development."

POLITICAL SCIENCE TALKS/SEMINARS:

Professor Shatema Threadcraft (Associate Professor, Dartmouth College) will present in the WISIR Speaker Series on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 1:00pm–2:30pm in the Olson Room (Gowen 1A).  Her talk is entitled “Redistributing Narrative Capital: Lynching, Rape, and Stories of Black Peoplehood”.
