UW Professor Emeritus Margaret Levi, who now runs the Center for Advanced Study at Stanford, was named the 2019 recipient of the Johan Skytte Prize in Political Science in March 2019. Levi accepted the prize and delivered her Skytte Prize speech on September 28, 2019 at the University of Uppsala, Sweden.
