British Prime Minister Liz Truss has resigned just 45 days after being sworn in. The proximate cause was the mini-budget outlined by her Chancellor of the Exchequer, Kwasi Kwarteng. Although his successor Jeremy Hunt rescinded parts of it, Truss could not recover politically and quit.
