Prof. Aseem Prakash and colleague Prof. Nives Dolšak on Forbes web site considering climate groups should become human rights advocates.
"Egypt is hosting the 27th Conference of Parties (COP) meeting this month. Although this is a climate event, human rights issues are being debated as well, a sensitive subject for the COP host, Egypt, and many other countries, especially China. While climate change has salient human rights dimensions, some fear that linking climate policy with human rights (specifically political freedom and the treatment of minorities) could impede climate conversations in the COP and beyond."
