The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), Labor Policy Office for Ranking Member Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), seeks two unpaid interns for the fall of 2015. The positions offer undergraduate students the opportunity to gain substantive experience while participating in the legislative process. Interns’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting Committee staff in performing office duties, conducting research, analyzing legislation, drafting memorandums, and organizing hearings. Interns play a key role in the office and will work closely with senior policy advisors.
HELP Committee: The Labor Policy Office of the HELP Committee works on a wide range of workforce-related matters, including: labor rights, pension and retirement issues, worker health and safety, equal employment opportunity and civil rights, wage and hour protections, and family and medical leave.
